A player in editor mode could toggle between normal walking and free-fly modes (to place objects wherever on the map). The map editor tool could work by spawning the cubes found in Holy Spring for example, and portals and their destination places. Imagine the saved resources and the amount of generated playing content in that. Every new map that Softnyx releases would bring 10,000s of new player-made map possibilities. Players could, with their Rakion playing experience, create bold castles and vast battle arenas, and bring immense depth to the game's existing content. The existing maps have lots of detail that are wasted when they are simply limited to the Stage mode, and their base form. Now imagine the possibilities when thousandsof players utilize Rakion's dozens of maps and create their own. The video included only shows one single player-made map in one single existing map (Discovery of Temple). This very simple and clean tool allowed for players to create vastly different maps, utilizing the dozens of existing ones in Rakion. It also included the ability to spawning portals, and determine their destinations (marked with arrows).
This editor, coded by Blue Duck alone and on his free time, allowed players to toggle between free-fly and normal walking modes, and to spawn cubes in their position, the size and position of which could later be edited in a Windows notepad. Ever since Blue Duck's Rakion server was closed down due to a lawsuit filed by Softnyx, the players and enthusiasts of Rakion have been without a map editor.
